FLY BY LIGHT

In the summer of 2011, fifteen teenagers board a bus for West Virginia, leaving the streets of D.C. for the first time to participate in an ambitious peace and conflict resolution program. Play under the stars and in mountain streams quickly turns to great personal challenge, as the teens, in a foreign environment, full of bugs, snakes, and caring adults, confront haunting demons from their past. City walls tumble down, as four remarkable teens reveal themselves to be goofy and profound, playful and serious, weak and powerful. When they return to the D.C. hustle and bustle, will the lessons learned stick? Fly By Light explores the long path to change, when young people step beyond their comfort zone and are challenged to shine.
